Padlet: For the Sake of Learning

What is Padlet?

Padlet is web tool providing its users as a bulletin. The users can use it to share texts, images and videos or even pdf files from any device they want. What is important for us is how we use it in classroom. It's quite amazing that so many people can post and make it as a digital board where learners share their thoughts freely without any hesitation.

The Process of Our Group-based Padlet Project

It was a little bit challenging for me as it was a group project and we were not allowed to do it individually. However, it was not a dreadful experience as I have expected it to be. I really enjoyed making research on the topic and posting it to a digital board where we can actually access so many information that others have also sahred. We have chosen the topic 'Climate Change' as it is a disturbing problem of our century and offered some solutions to reduce the effects of incresing carbon polluting.

Is Padlet Helpful?

Padlet is extremely helpful when it comes to collaborating and sharing opinions of your students. As a pre-service language teacher, I can only see the advantages of using it and not any negative effects to the learners in my perspective. They can collaborate, help each other, correct their understanding of the concepts and so on...

Effects on 21st Century Learning

Teachers of this century is both lucky and unlucky at the same time as technology is advanced through few decades. When I say unlucky, it's for its speed of advancing and we should be able to keep up with it in order to provide our students the necessary skills they need in this time. This kind of internet-based projects can improve their variety of skills. It is a dream tool for teachers to keep up with the 21st century learning.
